Happy Chinese New Year!!
Today we have been doing some activities to celebrate this festival and we will carry on throughout the week.
First thing we did was to make a red lantern, the idea for which we got from No Time for Flash Cards..
Considering little man was not majorly in the mood after a serious morning playing cars at nursery school I think it turned out pretty well!! He’s not a massive fan of crayons or pens at the moment so I just let him go to town with the gold glitter glue!!
He’s pretty tired now after our walk to the park so mummy is making him a dragon so that he can do a little dragon dance later!!
I’m hoping to make some fortune cookies with him later in the week and I’m also planning a piece of Firework art and some Maths involving red envelopes and coins to encorporate the Chinese New Year theme!
Tonight we’re going to have noodles to celebrate so happy new year everyone!!
